Happy Christmas from Daniel! Yes you have guested it! Its Christmas. From all of us from Daniel Bateman Hypnotherapy we would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas.

Tips on how you can beat stress in the festive season?

Christmas for most people can be full of joy and excitement.  However for some people can be a very difficult time for others.  Whatever your circumstances, our role is to help you reduce your stress levels and help you relax more.  We believe that it is important to focus on the things you want in your life NOW rather than the things you don’t have right now!

Whether you are feeling stressed with preparing for the big day and need time out? Maybe you feel alone this Christmas and would rather just sleep through it or forget about it. Do you get the feeling of dread as you are consistently being reminded of it! We can help you have a more enjoyable christmas or if christmas is not your thing, then there is no need to threat. Instead, just treat the festive season as just a holiday or simply a time for ‘rest and restoration’ of mind and body.  The point is this season does not have to be about ‘doom and gloom’. Here are some tips on how you can find your own solutions to a more ‘stress-free,’ happier and positive festive season.

Step 1: Relax – “Take time out!”

Next you need to set aside 30 minutes with your favourite cuppa, put on some favourite music.  Lie back on a comfortable chair or bed and relax.  Take deep breaths and switch off. When you are rested and ready to get up, stretch out your arms and legs gently. Hopefully you should feel refreshed, focused and have a clear focus of what you want to happen next!

Step 2: Focus – “What do you want this Christmas?”

So are you someone who likes Christmas, but find the whole run up to the event very stressful by consumerism and the constant demands from family and friends. Then set yourself 15 minutes aside away from the crowd to decide what YOU want this Christmas?  This could be a morning in bed, go for a walk or spend time with your favourite person.  Once you have decided on what you want, schedule it in your diary and tell people what you are going to do.

Step 3: Achieve – “Live your life”

Once you are focused and refreshed go and do it! “Live your life.” Try not to be distracted by other activities. Remember to only do a couple of activities in that set time.

Reflection Blog: The benefits of Hypnotherapy with other complementary therapies

All hypnotherapy sessions take place at ‘The Practice Rooms’.  Since seeing clients ‘The Practice Rooms’ has always been a relaxing and safe place for clients to go to.

Different types of complimentary health disciplines

For us it has been a wonderful opportunity to meet with other therapists through social and networking events. Over the past few months we had an opportunity to carry out treatment swaps with other therapists.  Here we have had an opportunity to look at the benefits of Hypnotherapy and other complimentary therapies available at the Practice Rooms. Therapies such as holistic Massage, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Reiki healing, reflexology of the feet and much more.

How do they compliment together with hypnotherapy?

We have discovered that as therapists we there are three things in common such as to help clients reduce stress levels, to treat the client holistic sense and to tailor each treatment to every client in practice differently.  In fact, Complementary health for some of our clients is not just the use of hypnotherapy alone, but a combination of different therapies and techniques such as talking or Holistic therapies.

For example, I suffer from back pain and severe Osteoporosis in my bones.  For me there has been many important benefits of combination of therapies such as having both Solution Focused Hypnotherapy and holistic massage. I wanted to find solutions in my life, where I could find immediate relief from pain from having massage, but also to have hypnotherapy to reduce my stress bucket.  The combination helped me focused on the things I wanted to focus and achieve my life.
